The Morrissey Advantage
The MAT Academy trains wrestlers from four years of age all the way through high school. Our philosophy is to teach the essential wrestling skills from the beginning—no matter the experience level. The basics of wrestling never change. Every wrestler must use speed, strength and leverage, blended with the experience, to reach their goals. We focus on positioning, angles, movement, level changes and explosive power in our instruction. Please give us a call at 800-992-3146 or email us to discuss our programs. We always enjoy talking about wrestling. Inside the MAT Academy
Careef Robertson, 2005 NCAA Division II National Champion, a former MAT Academy wrestler will also join Henson and Morrissey at this year's camp. We are currently accepting registration forms for the 2007 camp. Space is limited, so be sure to book your reservation early! NOTE: The 2007 MAT Academy Camp is full and we can no longer accept registrations. You can call Coach Morrissey to be placed on a waiting list in case a spot opens up. The number of campers is purposely set low in order to maximize the camper experience and maintain a low camper-to-instructor ratio. If you would like to be kept up to date on future events and camps, either call or email Coach Morrissey with your contact information. |

Testimonials "...since being under your program and philosophy he has managed to place at several, almost all, national tournaments he attended and more importantly being able to compete with the best wrestlers from anywhere. In fact, this past December he attended a National tournament and was faced with the number one seed from Michigan. I don’t have to say that most wrestlers from other states usually salivate when they see a SC wrestler. My son was able to pull out a victory and move on and place at the national event. Make no doubt, all the credit for my son’s improvement came from the experience he has had with Tim Morrissey." |
